Capbreton has 7 km of sandy beaches, dozens of excellent restaurants, and is an internationally famous centre for the treatment of sports injuries (you might easily see some famous footballers, gymnasts etc.)
The central beach is typical of many seaside resort with bars and hotels on the sea-front backed by a traffic-free esplanade with fabulous sea views. The rest of the beach as it extends south towards Labenne becomes very deep, private and is backed by large sand dunes – so it is excellent for nudists but still has plenty of space for surfers & wind surfers alike.
The backdrop of the Landes pine forest as it merges gently with the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean is truly beautiful.
The large sheltered port of Capbreton is the only private boating marina on the Landes coast and the largest on the total length of the Cote d’Argent. There is a taxi-ferry which crosses the harbour at regular intervals so it is possible to get up close to the rich and famous who moor their boats in the marina.
Capbreton boasts an active Night life, with a large Casino and a ten pin bowling alley, as well as many Restaurants and Bars.
